If a carrier believes that an individual is not insured they must report it immediately to the DMV.  The DMV will then issue a warning, along with a $ 200 fine, revoke the driving privileges and refuse registration of the vehicle until the matter is cleared up.

The state takes Connecticut auto insurance very seriously.  That’s why it is important to make sure coverage is up to date and provides the amount of protection that is needed.
